Our holiday

Our vacation was wonderful. We really had a great time and got the R&R that we were hoping for. Eli did great on the airplane, he was a hit with our seat neighbors. I'm sure when the flight started they were not happy to be sitting near a baby, but he didn't make a peep. Maui is 3 hours earlier than Calgary so Eli was waking up very early in the morning (4am!) and by the end of the trip it got better but was still early...5:30am. I made the most of it and went for some nice walks on the beach with him. Our condo was about a 5 min walk to the beach. We also drove the road to Hana, saw the blowhole, sharks teeth, and had lots of beach time. Brent even got to do some snorkelling since Darcy and Christa were in Maui as well. It worked out great!

Plane trip there...so far so good!

At the beach, it was hot.

It was so bright!

Sharks teeth - not the best pic at all. They are quite neat in real life.

The black sand beach was very cool, but you couldn't go swimming because there were tonnes of these man o war were in the water.

Stacey and Martin get Maui'd

Stacey and Martin's wedding was beautiful. What an amazing setting for a wedding!! We had such a fun time and enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks for the excuse to go to Maui guys! It was so nice to see them since they moved to Norway in August and will be there for 2-3 years.

maybe he'll get freckles

Cyn posted baby pics of herself and husband to see the resemblance to their daughter. I thought it was a cute idea, so here are our photos. After looking at these, maybe Eli looks more like me (or less like Brent as a kid) than I thought. I think he looks like Brent now, but not so much as when Brent was a baby.

FUN with editing

Astrid sent me the link to free photo editing software and I have been having so much fun! This is dangerous, I could spend more than a few late nights doing this. Here are the new and improved photos from this morning - plus one more. It's so cool, it even directly posts to the blog. THANKS ASTRID!

playing in the morning sun

We had some fun this morning taking pictures in front of the living room windows. I wish I had photoshop and knew how to use it. I could make these look great. There is a course at Sait that I sometimes think of taking. Maybe one day! Here are a few of my favorites.

It may look all calm and serene, but really, it was more like this:

not so small after all

Eli and his fur brother Paul were the same height and weight for a short moment in time. He's no longer the smallest one in the family. Although, I think Paul is cheating in the height measurement in this pic.

Howl of a wedding

Michelle and Bryce got married last weekend in a very unique way. Really though, I'm pretty sure everyone who knows them really wasn't that surprised when they received their invitation for a Halloween wedding. I loved all of the little details of it. Talk about something different!
