Happy Anniversary to us

Today is our 2nd wedding Anniversary. It feels like more than that (in a good way). Probably because we've been living together for 4 years and dating for way longer than that. We went out for dinner to celebrate, it was so nice. I even splurged on cheesecake which is a zillion weight watchers points, but hey...it's our anniversary!

"Ahgoo, gaaaa, ungaa"

Grandma K comes to visit on Fridays, and we had an evening visit this week. She got to see our bedtime routine. I can't believe how big Eli looks in her arms! He loves when she sings to him.

Baba Margaret and Gido stopped by for a visit today. Here's a video of Eli having a very good conversation with his Gido!

2 months

Oh how time flies! Eli was 2 months old yesterday. He's growing so fast. His 2 month stats are 12 lbs 14 oz, and 23.5 inches long ( he started out 8lbs 5oz and 20 inches). His newest thing is sucking on his hands, kind of like you do with a tasty rack of ribs! His smiles are getting more frequent and just melt my heart!!

Tub time! He loves the bath, and is so funny in the tub. He always keeps his arms straight like that.

Peeking out of the carrier. (love the hat from Shannon!! It's a little big, but I make him wear it anyway because it's just so darn cute)

Smiling at his goofy mom.

Care to be famous?

That is the title of an email I got the other day. Someone wanted to know if we would be interested in being on a home renovation TV show! The show is the Steven and Chris show on CBC television, they are looking for "house proud" DIYers to feature on their show. How fun does that sound !?! However, I declined since we are in the midst of basement renos, and our landscaping is worse than awful right now. To me, to be on TV it's got to be 1. finished 2. perfect 3. I need to be sans baby weight. So, since we don't meet the criteria, I said no. I guess I'll have to find my 15 mins of fame elsewhere.

We had a great weekend, and attended Lily's 1st birthday party. Eli didn't sleep through it this time! I can't believe Sam and Lily are both 1 year old already. It's scary how quickly that first year can fly by. They don't stay babies for long do they?

On another note, we are going to Maui! We are attending Stacey and Marty's wedding in November. We'll bring Eli since he flies for free. Gotta take advantage of that deal while we can. I'm really looking forward to going back to Maui and just when it's getting darn cold here in town. PERFECT.

Eli has mastered the pout, here it is:

His smile is much more elusive, but I managed to capture one:
