Mickey Mouse here we come!

Yay! It's finally here.  We leave tomorrow for our trip to Disneyland.  Brent, Eli and I are all going on vacation and Hana is staying home with Nana and Papa.  I'm feeling sad to leave her but I know she's in great hands and will be happier sticking to her routine than the craziness that is Disneyland.  I can't wait to see Eli's reaction to riding on an airplane, all the rides, characters and shows.  This will be my 5th trip to Disneyland. It truly is the happiest place on earth.  I'm pumped! 

I'm bring my beco "baby" carrier with us.  Of all my early baby purchases, this might be my most favorite. I've gotten so much use out of it.  It holds up to 40lbs so Eli still fits in it.  I think it will come in handy for long ride lines.  Eli really likes riding in it and it will save our arms because he's heavy (36lbs).

I came across a new food blog that I just love and have to share it.  It's called Annies Eats . It makes me hungry just reading it.  I've already got a long list in my favorites to try!

Heritage Park

We went to a Day out with Thomas at Heritage Park for the first time this year. It was a really fun event.  It was a super windy day which made it a bit uncomfortable for our picnic lunch but there were some indoor events.  We gook Evie with us and we all had a lot of fun.  Next time, we'll go earlier and spend more time there, we didn't even make it to the ice cream shop!

We had a fun day at Heritage Park on the weekend.  I'll post more pictures later but I just had to share this picture.  Eli got his face painted for the first time and he totally loved it.  As soon as he was out of the tent where the face painting was he started crawling on the ground like a Tiger and Rawrring.  It was SO much fun.

Mother's Day

I had a lovely Mother's Day. I got to sleep in, spend time with family and even got an afternoon nap. It was perfect! This is a good week for me, Mother's day and my birthday all in one week.

Spring!!!

Dare I say it? But Spring might be here to stay. We've had such a long Winter and I know our family has been feeling more than a little stir crazy. Last week we finally got to spend some time outside. Hana got her first feel of grass in her fingers and she seemed to enjoy being outside (with the exception of the wind). I think she scoped out a favorite seat to watch Eli at the park.

It's all about the icing

Eli went to a birthday party for his friend Jacob last week. The birthday boy had cupcakes and Eli polished off 3 of them. Well, that's not really true, he ate the icing off of 3 of them. Maybe for Eli's birthday next month, I'll skip the cake all together and just decorate a plate :)
