Blog settings

I played around with doing invited readers only for the blog, but there were too many technical difficulties with people being able to get access. Now it's back to public but I've changed some of the privacy settings and information so hopefully that solves the problem. With my hubby's line of work it's best if we can't be found on Google. I hope I've solved that problem once and for all!

Crazy eyes

Eli can do this wierd crazy eye thing where his eyes go in different directions. He'll randomly do it to make me laugh and I finally got it on camera. He's such a comedian these days!

Battle of Wills

Unfortunately for Eli, I'm a Taurus and that means that I'm stubborn. Usually, when it comes to my kids I'm quite the softy (Brent will attest to that) but if I have to, I can stick to my guns. Eli needed a nap today. He was a grumpy, tantruming, unpleasant boy to be around. After an hour long battle of wills, I'm happy to say he is finally sleeping . I'm sitting here eating a piece of victory chocolate because man, do I ever deserve it.

Bed head

When you get crazy bed head like Hana does sometimes the only solution is a hat. I took Eli to get a haircut yesterday and the hair dresser told me Hana has Rhianna's hairdo. She's totally punk :)

Blue eyed babe

Hana still has her blue eyes. I wonder if they will stay blue or change to brown or hazel. Eli's eyes didn't change to hazel until he was just over 2 years old. It was a very gradual process. His eyes were more of a grey blue to start with. I looked back at some of my baby pictures and I still had blue eyes at 8 months and now I have hazel eyes. I'll be surprised if hers stay blue but they sure are pretty right now.

Buddies

It's so hard to get a picture of Eli and Hana together and both smiling. This is the closest that I've gotten in a while! I need photoshop to cut and paste heads between photos like they do on TV.

the love of cars continues

Hana loves to pull matchbox cars out of containers. Any container will do and lucky for her we have quite a selection of cars. Enough to keep her busy for hours and hours....and hours. Today she sat for over an hour pulling them out, putting them in and inspecting them. I don't think Eli has ever sat in one place that long.

I do it myself Mum

This totally made me laugh today. We are working on Eli getting his own underwear and pants on and off when he goes to the bathroom. He did it all alone today and was so proud. A while later, he spilled his drink on his pants and took them off and I saw this. The waist band is the thick blue band in the picture, and they are backwards. I would have posted the front view but lets just say it was a little bit revealing.

6 months

Here is a comparison of the kiddos both at age 6 months. They are even wearing the same shirt. It's not often that Hana wears Eli's hand-me-downs. They are pretty much at exactly the same spot as far as developmental milestones go. I just love 6 months old!
