Big bed

Tonight is Eli's first night in his bed. He was happy when he saw his new bed but more excited about the new lamp installed on the wall. Bed time went really smoothly and he was sleeping within 5 minutes of Brent leaving the room. If only it was always that easy!. Eli is officially a big kid now, potty trained and sleeping in a bed. I'm so proud of him!

Nap time

Eli is still in a crib but I think he's showing signs of being ready for a bed. Lately, he wants to nap anywhere except his crib. Sometimes he'll sleep in our bed, but the last few days he has slept in his old baby tent. He used this when he was 5 months old when when went to Maui. He's way too long for it and has to sleep curled up in there. Today he wanted a blanket on top to make it extra fun. I picked him up a toddler bed from Kijiji last night and am going to set it up while he's at the dayhome tomorrow. I hope he's excited about it!

Jumping beans

Hana tested out the jolly jumper for the first time today. She really got the hang of it quite fast. Eli also wanted to go in it so he improvised a little as you'll see in the video. Check out the bald spot on the back of Hana's head, poor girl's starting to look like George Costanza.

This video was posted for Brent since this is his first week back to work after 4 months of parental leave. I'm sure that he's feeling like he's missing out on the action at home. I myself am missing my afternoon nap.

Christmas clothes

My two dressed up for Christmas. Of course, the only picture I took like this and it's blurry. But, blurry is better than nothing!
We had a wonderful holiday and a low key New Years. We rang in the New Year in our hot tub with pina coladas and watched the neighbour's fire works show. We half enjoyed the fireworks and half worried that it would wake the kids up, but it didn't. Hope you all had a great holiday season. Bring on 2011.

Jumping stringbean

Our nickname for Hana is our little stringbean because she's so tall and lean. I think the legs to our jolly jumper were misplaced in the move, so I put her in the jumperoo the other morning. She really likes all the fun toys on it but doesn't quite have the jumping figured out yet. She's so little in it, but can last 20 or so minutes looking at everything. She does like to be in a standing up position and I'm sure she'll be bouncing in no time.

busy times

What can I say? life with 2 kids and a husband at home is busy. My blogging has suffered because of it but we are having fun and enjoying our time at home all together. What's new with us? Well, Eli is officially potty trained. I'm so proud of him, he's doing amazing. So, you'll notice in lots of our pictures that he's only wearing underwear and no pants. It's just faster for him to get to the potty that way when we are at home but makes for kind of funny pictures. Hana is 3 months old in a couple of days and becoming such a smiley little girl. She is starting to roll to the side and "talk" a lot when you talk to her. Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks.
