Happy Guy

It is so hard to get a picture of Eli smiling these days. He either turns his head away or makes a mean face as soon as I pull out the camera. He is very into being a "tough guy" or a "bad guy" right now. I was able to sneak in a few of him actually looking happy this week and thought I better post them. He is getting to be so big. He starts preschool in September! Eli has really been interested in learning the alphabet. He points out letters when we are driving in the car and in the store. Whenever I turn on my computer and Google comes up he starts pointing out the letters. It's pretty fun! Here he is reading his alphabet book in his cape.

Shark attack

 

We may not live near the ocean, but a shark attacked our house yesterday. It was a pretty scary one too!

The Tongue

 

Hana always has her tongue out. She can make it form into the smallest little point in the corner of her mouth. Here is her classic tongue out pose.

Happy Half Birthday

Hana is 6 months old! How has half a year passed already? Is that even possible? I just love this age. She is so sweet and happy. I love her baby babbling it's so quiet and girlie. She can sit up on her own and roll from side to side. She loves to suck on her fingers and toes and stick out her tongue. She's got a sweet tooth like me so adding apple sauce to any vegetable makes her happy.

There is no doubt who Hana looks like. I think I'm about 3 months in this photo and Hana is almost 6 months but there is no hiding the resemblance.

Goodbye Winston

We had a sad weekend as we unexpectedly had to say goodbye to our dog and friend, Winston. We are feeling his absence in the house and miss him dearly. I rescued him from the pound and then we were lucky to have him for 8 years of our lives. He had so much personality and was such a part of our family. Instead of dwelling on the sadness of his loss, I want to post some pictures of his life as they show what a great life he had and how much he meant to us.

I like your eyes

Up until about a month ago, Eli pretty much ignored Hana. Like most guys, now that she smiles and laughes at his funny faces and jokes, he's paying a lot more attention to her. He's actually quite sweet with her. He baby talks to her and butters her up with compliments. Here they are, hanging out in Eli's bed in the morning.

"I like your hands...open?" (wanting her to open her hand)
